The LipoDecoupler is designed for the redundant connection of two or more batteries to the MikroKopter. This reverse power cut-off is used in the respective supply line between MikroKopter and battery. In case of a short circuit of a LiPo, the connected battery is immediately disconnected from the supply line. This prevents a defective lipo short-circuiting the supply voltage of the intact lipos. But the LipoDecoupler can do more. Nevertheless, it lets the feedback current of the BL regulators (when braking the motors) flow back into the lipo. Note: The current direction from the Lipo to the Kopter is never interrupted. So this is not a backup in the classical sense. A short circuit at the output of the LipoDecouplers must therefore be prevented umbedingt. The board allows reverse currents up to 9A. From 10A reverse current is switched off (faster 1ms) -> the current then falls back to 0A In the case of a shutdown is immediately turned on again, when the reverse current is eliminated. For each used LiPo (battery) a LipoDecoupler is needed. Delivery without plug. Suitable plugs and connecting cables must be soldered by the customer.
